About Us

The British School Where Values Matter

Welcome!

Our Story

The School was established by the Ark Christian Church in 2009. The school is still embraced by the church – which worships in our buildings on Sundays – but has its own statutes and is registered with the regional authorities as an independent, charitable (non-profit) organisation with independent finances. The school is governed by a Board of 4 members who all attend the Ark Church. The Headteacher works closely with the Board and attends all the monthly Board meetings.

Philosophy & Mission

The school ethos is based on Christian principles and endeavours to help each child learn to respect themselves and others. With this in mind, we believe in working with parents to give each child the opportunities they need to achieve their full potential.

Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn

As an institution with chaitable status the pupil is more important than profit. The school has to balance its books while maintaining, and constantly improving, the high level of education provided, however, its fees are the lowest for a school of its kind on the coast.

What We Offer

The British School Where Values Matter

The Ark Christian School is a welcoming second home for our students where they know they are secure, respected and important, both as individuals and as part of the school community.

As a British school

As a British school for children from 3-18 years old we teach the British National Curriculum leading to IGCSE and A Level examinations – as if they attended a school in England or Wales – enriched by studying the Spanish language.
The children are given access to employment, further training and university in Spain, the UK, and many other countries worldwide. Access to university in Spain is achieved through a straightforward process of accreditation of studies which provides direct access in equal conditions with students from Spanish schools.

As a Christian school

As a Christian school the children’s whole school experience, both inside and outside the classroom, is permeated with Christian values such as respect, equality, compassion, thankfulness, justice and forgiveness. While the ethos of the school is Christian, our doors are open to all children.

As an institution with chaitable status the pupil is more important than profit. The school has to balance its books while maintaining and constantly improving the high level of education provided, however, its fees are the lowest for a school of its kind on the coast.

The school hosts the ‘Instituto Canzion’ music school whose teachers provide music lessons for our students and direct our choir.
