Dear Parents,
I have some good news for you as you will see below.
I wrote to you last summer to explain the changes that were taking place in the school and I invited you to contact me if you so wished. As a result, a number of parents emailed me about a variety of topics, however the most frequently expressed concern was that our plans for improvement would mean an extra increase in the fees.
As a not-for-profit school our commitment is to provide a quality British education with strong Christian values at the best price we can. With a 0% increase in fees and significantly better discounts for siblings –from the third child– for September 2021, I believe that we are showing ourselves to be sincere in that aim.
Now, we wish to take that commitment a step further by ensuring that no pupil of any age will have to leave the school if they suffer the unexpected loss of a parent. In line with the biblical instruction to “look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27), we will be contacting you before the new school year in September 2021 to invite you to register your family for a grant, for the rest of their school career in the case of the loss of a parent breadwinner. This initiative will be a gift from the school to our families so that children do not have a tragic loss compounded by a change of school.
I will send you more details in due course, but in the meantime I wish to thank you all for your trust in the school and to reassure you of our commitment to continue to improve the education provided by the Ark Christian School.
